I would like to sign the petition to save Briarwood Lane. I do not live on the street, but I live in the adjacent community, Plum Grove Woodlands.  Briarwood Lane is one of the reasons my family lives in the area. We love its uniqueness and often comment on its beauty.

I ride my bike over the bridge during my daily commute, and for me, it signals a reprieve from the bustle of the outside world. I am at home on this wonderful road with the overhanging trees, and I can't imagine how anyone could consider straightening it. I honestly thought they were joking when I heard about this project.

If there is anything I can do to make my voice heard and encourage those in charge to reconsider, please let me know, as it would be a shame to remove those trees and lose some of the character of my neighborhood.

Thank you.

The proposal to widen and straighten Briarwood Ln. and construct a new bridge at enormous taxpayer expense, and remove numerous century old trees is absolutely insane. The whole project seems very secretive, and the swift nature in attempting to ramrod this thing through is very suspect. It reeks of politics and favoritism to select contractors. This proposal has not been born out of safety concerns or accidents, so I have to ask where did it come from? Where is reason in this, and why isn't the voice of the people being heard?
