Randy Mitchell said: While I respect everyone's right to express an opinion on this important matter, it has been evident for some time that the large trees south of the bridge are not going to be adversely affected even if the current Township plan is adopted. Please take the yellow tape off the trees! It is unsightly and serves no purpose at all now. Thank you.
Committee action: The tape has been removed from all the trees that will not be affected by the most recent Township plan. It remains on only the three large oak trees and maple trees that will still be adversely affected (they might not be cut down, but we have been told by tree experts that they will very likely not survive the construction). In good faith, we have removed the tape on the trees the Township has indicated they will no longer demolish even though PTRD's alternative proposal has not been formally submitted to Cook County and thus, the original proposal submitted is still valid. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
