.since the increase in business properties at the corners of Algonquin Rd and Meachem, I've seen an increase in vehicle traffic and the speeds of those cars. These additional cars are probably thru traffic of one sort or another. Ours has been and should remain the limited access community we began as. I've lived here for 22 years and I like it here. I did not wish to live on a thoroughfare when I chose this as the community in which I wanted to live. I hope that this brige thing is not designed to increase traffic for commercial or retail purposes because I would be against that.

I am so disappointed to see the politicians at work again, this time attempting to make changes that will mar the aesthetics of our community. The current bridge, its design and its decorative stone, adds immeasurably to the beauty of our subdivision. Why would we want to replace it with a cookie-cutter bridge that is most unsuitable to the entire area? Why not spend the money that they seem so eager to disperse on flood control? That would improve the lives of so many people. Repair the bridge and let us enjoy living here.
