Comment    Agree - the destruction of the trees and widening of the road would destroy a nice area that I have been walking through for over 20 years. What would the village say as their justification for needing to do this?

The current road configuration promotes slower traffic flow. Make the proposed changes and watch the cars fly down Brianwood Lane. Their concerned for our safety?

COMMENT:  The bridge and the lane have never been anything but safe and beautiful. Surely there is a way to satisfy drainage needs without straightening the road. The thought of cars speeding down a wider, straightened roads is frightening as it is unsafe for all, will surely hurt the charm and cache thus property values of our area. On a personal note, we enjoy the safety of our kids traveling in the area back and forth to the pool and the new businesses but with the new propsal that would have to come to an end. Very sad. I work in a private home in Plum Grove Estates. I would hate to see the bridge and all the trees destroyed. I think this is a beautiful neighborhood.

the deamers have been proud to call this area home since the early 1970's ,as you drive down the tree lined streets after a hard day at work a calm comes over you as you see he stately trees shading our roads ,the quiet of only the cars of your neighbors makes you relax in your lawn chair children ride by on there bikes and runners jog by and say hello no one in this subdivision wants this proposed plan to go through fine, repair the bridge but keep the look of the bridge the same the great travestry is the beautiful trees that are marked to come down i do not understand how some of the people that pay the highest taxes in the area have no say in the projet! the areas where the trees are to be destroyed are very high up on peoples property i know there are easements but come on ,this is insane we all oppose this and ask that the powers that be find some other area that needs the tax dollars (such as widing of northwest highway or algonquin where there are continual back ups leave us alone, the plum groves association is doing just fine without this demolition plan

This internet site makes me more proud than ever of the place the Vanselows have called home for over twenty years, where we enjoy front row seats to the bridge and these magnificient trees.

Please join in our efforts to change the direction of the government proposed plan (from replacing the bridge and changing Briarwood Lane) to having the bridge repaired and leave Briarwood Lane alone!
